I am sitting here at halftime on Super Bowl Sunday reading and answering letters. Why would a football fanatic like me be doing this instead of watching the game with the rest of America? (1) I like writing about writing, and (2) my column was due a week ago. With that motivation in mind, I am ready to tackle (pun intended!) subjects like foolscap paper, the propriety of ampersands, document titles, abbreviation of educational degrees, computer access of state court documents, colons, and spelling.
