Leaders of Africa Most Promising Democracies Feted on Capitol Hill

To honor leaders of Africa’s most promising democracies and commemorate President Obama’s historic summit with African Leaders, the African Presidential Center, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, and Howard University are hosting a reception in honor of visiting African Leaders on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm at the Nelson Mullins Washington DC office located at 101 Constitution Avenue, NW Suite 900, Washington DC 20001. 

Regarding the summit, Ambassador Charles Stith, the Director of the African Presidential Center said: “The President's upcoming U.S. -Africa Leaders Summit is historic as a first of its kind meeting, as such it represents a unique opportunity politically. It has important economic implications as well. The only region in the world experiencing greater rates of economic growth is Asia. Nowhere is democracy taking root in a more concerted fashion. Africa's time has come.
