In an article published on Jan. 20, 2017 in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Managing Partner Michael E. Hollingsworth II provides insight on how in-house counsel can impact law firms. He says that maintaining essential relationships outside of the company are important and that his law firm attracts in-house counsel from existing industry contacts. “I have seen a lot of folks go in-house and discontinue networking and attending external events,” Mr. Hollingsworth explains. “The problem is that companies get bought and sold, and one should never assume that he or she has a job for life as an in-house lawyer.”
