Experts weigh in on what Atlanta needs to become a top-tier tech startup hub, Atlanta Business Chronicle
In an article published on Aug. 11, 2017 in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta partner Doug Spear provides insight on what Atlanta needs to be considered as a "top-tier" tech startup hub. In a recent interview with the publication, Mr. Spear answered the question, "What will it take to push metro Atlanta into the top tier of technology startup centers in the U.S.?" Among the factors that he pointed to: "continued active participation by local Fortune 500 companies in the form of investment, serving as customers/strategic partners and ultimately acquiring local startups;" "engagement in the entrepreneurial cycle by more founders who have successfully exited businesses and subsequently become active, early-stage investors;" and "the ability of founders who have 'failed' in startups to raise money for subsequent ventures."
