International Trade Attorney Ed Rubinoff Joins

WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 24, 2017)–International trade policy and regulation attorney Edward L. Rubinoff has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office.
A recognized authority on U.S. international trade control laws (economic sanctions, export controls, and anti-bribery/anti-corruption), Mr. Rubinoff counsels domestic and foreign companies on compliance with such laws, conducts internal investigations and audits, designs and assesses compliance programs, and represents clients in civil and criminal enforcement cases. He also advises and represents both foreign and domestic companies regarding national security reviews conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. He has been top-rated by Chambers USA and Chambers Global each year since 2005.
As a former member of the President’s Export Council’s Subcommittee on Export Administration, he advised the president and the U.S. government on the development and implementation of U.S. export controls and security-related trade. Mr. Rubinoff is a past chair of the Export Control and Economic Sanctions Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law and Practice, a member of the section’s Board of Directors, and editor-in-chief of the section’s newsletter. He also served as a director for the Lawyers Alliance for World Security and was nominated to serve on binational dispute resolution panels under Chapter 19 of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts, with high honors, from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor, with honors, from the George Washington University Law School.
