Litigator Tom Hancock Joins Nelson Mullins in West Virginia
HUNTINGTON (Feb. 9, 2016)–Experienced litigator Thomas M. Hancock has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as Of Counsel in its West Virginia office. Mr. Hancock has experience litigating catastrophic workplace accidents, class actions, toxic torts, and a variety of other administrative and litigation matters on behalf of clients from diverse industries. His practice includes both trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Hancock has defended many chemical exposure civil actions on behalf of employers and product manufacturers in state and federal court, including jury trials and appeals. He also has experience defending clients against OSHA citations and other administrative claims, with special focus on mine product litigation and related injuries. He has handled litigation in state and federal courts, as well as tried numerous bench trials before the United States Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges.
Mr. Hancock earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law.
