Nelson Mullins Promotes Five Atlanta Attorneys
Atlanta (Jan. 5, 2017)–The partners of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP have elected Brad Burman, Roger Mitchell, and Paul Rothstein to the partnership. Laura Lashley and Gregory O’Neil also have been promoted to of counsel. All are former associates based in the Atlanta office.
Mr. Burman joined the Firm in 2009 and practices with the Venture Capital and Technology team. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, technology law, and mobile payments and digital commerce. His practice also includes general business and corporate transactions and general corporate governance.
Mr. Mitchell joined the Firm in 2012 after previously working at a large international law firm. He practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, finance, private equity, and venture capital. He represents start-up and middle market companies, private equity funds, venture capital funds, and mezzanine lenders in connection with acquisition and finance structures and strategies.
Mr. Rothstein joined the Firm in 2012 and practices with the Mergers & Acquisitions team. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, and technology law. His practice also includes general business and corporate transactions and general corporate governance.
Ms. Lashley joined the Firm in 2013 and focuses on education policy, district flexibility initiatives and restructuring, charter schools, special education, student rights, and employment matters. She previously served as assistant professor of Education Law and Policy at Kennesaw State University.
Mr. O’Neil joined the Firm in 2013 and practices with the Litigation Group. He focuses his practice in the areas of securities litigation, products and premises liability, toxic tort, and commercial law. He also has practiced in the areas of labor and employment, admiralty, professional liability, and municipal and civil rights litigation.
