Nelson Mullins Taps Jason Gold as Bankruptcy, Financial Restructuring Practice Chair
WASHINGTON (March 29, 2016)–H. Jason Gold, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP's Washington, DC office, has been named chair of the Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Practice Group. He leads a group of more than 30 bankruptcy lawyers in the Firm's 15 offices who practice throughout the country and who are called on by clients in chapter 11 cases and other insolvency-related restructurings and liquidations.
Mr. Gold has more than 30 years of experience in complex restructuring and insolvency matters. He is board certified in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification of Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Attorneys, where he serves on the board of directors and is vice chair of the Standards Committee (the committee that approves certifications). Over the years he has been bankruptcy trustee in several of the largest cases ever filed in the Washington, D.C. region. A frequent speaker and author on bankruptcy issues, Mr. Gold has provided congressional testimony on bankruptcy issues. He also sits on the board of directors of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and has been selected as the editor of the American Bankruptcy Trustee Journal.
