Katz provides insight into the security threats businesses can face if they choose to work from an unsecured mobile device. Mr. Katz explains that all businesses should have a plan for avoiding the chances of a breach, saying businesses should closely coordinate with the IT departments before, during, and after travel to ensure devices are operating correctly and have not been compromised. Mr. Katz also explains how the risk is heightened when businesses leave the country. “Countries known for spying on foreign travelers or countries in which export controls apply demand procedures based on the elevated risk.”
