“The Morning Risk Report: Global Cyberattack a ‘Teachable Moment’ for Companies,” The Wall Street Journal

In an article published on May 16, 2017 by The Wall Street Journal, Atlanta partner David Katz offers insight on the latest global cyberattack and discusses why companies need constant training and education of employees to create awareness that can help prevent future attacks. Mr. Katz tells the publication, “You may have the best security and IT employees, but if your other employees don’t understand the risks and haven’t been educated, then all the protection in the world won’t help you.” He continues, “It comes down to how much time the organization has spent making employees aware of this risk. You need to be fairly constant because the attack vectors change, and the training you do today may not prevent against the risks of tomorrow.” Subscribers to The Wall Street Journal may click here to read the complete article.
