Three Attorneys Join Nelson Mullins’ Real Estate Capital Markets Group in Atlanta

Atlanta (Oct. 17, 2016)–Three attorneys have joined the real estate capital markets team of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in the Atlanta office. Joshua F. Reif, Aleksandra Strang, and April R. Ratani have joined the Firm as associates. 

Mr. Reif concentrates his practice on commercial lending and real estate capital markets, with experience in corporate and commercial finance and capital markets. As a former associate at an international law firm, Mr. Reif represented lenders in syndicated and large balance sheet loan transactions secured by multiple classes of commercial real estate; and, as an in house attorney for a financial services company, he advised the corporate/investment banking and commercial lending lines of business on regulatory and transactional matters.

Mr. Reif earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from Covenant College and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

Ms. Strang focuses her practice on commercial real estate development and real estate capital markets. She has experience assisting clients with a broad range of transactions including acquisitions, leasing, and dispositions of various types of real estate assets. Her experience also includes negotiating and preparing commercial leases, purchase agreements, and ancillary documents. She represents major commercial banks and other lending institutions in real estate finance, corporate finance, and asset-based lending transactions.

Ms. Strang earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Mrs. Ratani focuses her practice on real estate capital markets. Before joining the Firm, she worked as an investment management attorney and a registered investment advisor attorney at an Atlanta law firm where she concentrated on capital markets, fund formation, securities offerings, and varied regulatory compliance activities with the SEC, FINRA, NFA, and state blue sky regulators.

Mrs. Ratani earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Northern Illinois University and a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law.
