Nelson Mullins' Kostel Elected
to New Hope Housing Board
WASHINGTON, DC -- George E. Kostel, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Washington office, has been elected to serve a term on the board of directors of New Hope Housing, the oldest and largest provider of shelter beds in northern Virginia. He began service in July 2012.
Mr. Kostel practices commercial litigation, primarily in federal courts around the country with particular experience in the Eastern District of Virginia. He serves as director at large for the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He has served on the boards of other non-profits in the region, including the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and Wesley Housing Development Corporation (an affordable housing provider with nearly $100 million in assets), where he served on and chaired the board of directors from 2005-2007. He continues to serve on Wesley's Advisory and Affiliates Boards.
Since 1978, New Hope Housing has been providing services to homeless families and single adults. The organization provides homeless men, women, and children services to change their lives and succeed.
