RALEIGH – Labor and employment attorney Phillip J. Strach has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as a partner in its Raleigh office. He joins from Ogletree Deakins, where he was the Raleigh office managing shareholder.

Strach regularly represents management in labor/employment law and related matters. He advises clients on covenants not to compete and litigates claims involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and other business-related litigation. Strach also regularly defends management and employers in employment discrimination cases and counsels management on how to prevent or reduce the risk of these lawsuits.

He has been recognized for his labor and employment practice by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America®. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law, an M.P.A. from the University of North Carolina, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Campbell University.
