BOSTON – A trio of corporate/real estate transactional lawyers have joined Nelson Mullins’ Boston office. In the past six weeks, John Balboni, Matt Lane, and Robert Yamartino have taken residency in the Boston office of Nelson Mullins. These attorneys have worked together for several years and have a deep and broad-based local, regional, and national transactional practice.
Balboni focuses his practice on real estate private equity and opportunity zone transactions. Additionally, he handles other general real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and debt transactions. He advises real estate start-ups to global institutions and everything in between.
Lane focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, real estate, private equity investments, and other general business transactions. He regularly represents clients in complex sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions across various industries. In addition, he represents developers and sponsors in the structuring of real estate investment funds in various classes, including investment in opportunity zone funds and businesses.
Yamartino handles all types of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and leasing matters. His clients include institutions, private equity funds, lenders, developers, investors, and REITS across all asset classes, including multi-family, industrial, and life science.
“We are excited to join this platform,” Balboni said. “We were presented with an amazing opportunity to join a national platform with deep resources and talented people. Our clients will truly benefit in our transition here.”
“We are pleased to welcome Bob, John, and Matt to the firm and the Boston office,” said Boston Office Managing Partner Brian Moore. “Each brings a wealth of experience and a deep knowledge of real estate and corporate matters, and they will be great assets to their teams and our clients.”
