Heather is a seasoned litigator practicing in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation, construction litigation, and complex civil litigation on behalf of corporate clients and product manufacturers. Heather has spent her career defending manufacturers of consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and automobiles in bet-the-company catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation in state and federal courts. She also has experience handling complex commercial disputes and contract litigation for a variety of retail, finance, real estate, and construction clients. Heather has tried bench and jury trials to verdict as first and second chair and has extensive experience developing all aspects of case strategy. She has been a key member of trial teams involved in some of the most complex and high-profile litigations of the last decade.

Experience

  • First- and second-chaired state and federal court tort and contract actions.
  • Managed a complex litigation docket of hundreds of active cases as national counsel for a manufacturer of industrial fuel purification systems. Coordinated case strategy for local counsel in more than 20 states and, through jurisdictional objections and dispositive motions, developed consistent defensive strategies with an emphasis on early resolution
  • Developed “case-in-a-box” strategies for an international automotive manufacturer to reduce litigation expenses and ensure consistent case handling across multiple vehicle lines and component products.
